Superior Comfort
All of the socks produced by Scott-Nichol are designed with the belief that comfort is a key success factor. If the socks we make aren't comfortable to wear then we don't believe that we have made a good sock, this is because we see comfort as being paramount to quality. Our socks are produced with tried and tested materials proven to provide superior comfort for their wearers. We also take into consideration the varying comfort/wear-ability needs of the wearer and the activities they intend to partake before designing patterns for our socks as we truly believe that comfort comes first. Whether you are walking, hunting, hiking or just relaxing we are sure that Scott-Nichol will have the perfect sock for you.

Quality Fibres
Here at Scott-Nichol we select only the finest fibres for use in our socks with Wool and Cotton forming the two major types of material used in the creation process of our fabrics. We use varying types of wool blend yards in our Country Collection
, these include; Shetland, Alpaca and Merino Wools.
Shetland wool is distinctive in that the fibres are of a very fine quality and prone to tenderness, due to climatic and feeding conditions, resulting in the fibres having a very soft and silky feel.
Alpaca wool is derived from the Alpaca, an animal similar in appearance to sheep but actually a relative of the camel. The wool produced by Alpaca's is warmer and lighter in weight than that of sheeps wool and outdoor sports enthusiasts recognise that these properties provide them more comfort in colder weather.
Superfine Merino wool is widely regarded as being the finest and softest wool produced by any sheep. The very nature of the Merino wool fibres used by Scott-Nichol allows them to exhibit properties unrivalled by other sheeps wool.
The fabric created by Superfine Merino fibres is laced with tiny air pockets that efficiently trap air to keep the wearer warm in the winter and cool in the summer whilst wicking away moisture for a dry, comfortable feeling. The super-fine diameter of the fibres allows them to absorb and pull moisture vapour away from your body (via wicking), unlike synthetic fibers which can only wick the moisture away after it has condensed making Merino wool great for all seasons.

. Here you will find: heel and toe, Hounds-tooth, snowflake, and birds-eye patterned socks in varying lengths. Both ladies and gentlemen will agree that the socks in the Country Collection
are more suitable for that special occasion. Also in the Country Collection are our famous Long Turn-Over-top shooting socks available with Garters to match making them a perfect combination for the hunting season!

Hand Linked Toes
Scott-Nichol believes that the hallmark of a truly high quality sock is the hand-linked toe. This term depicts the, long abandoned, traditional method of closing the toe seam whereby the the threads of the unfinished socks are joined together, by hand, matching thread with thread. This process requires a great amount of skill with hand-linkers taking up to 5 years to truly master the technique. All Scott-Nichol socks come with a hand-linked toe as this process results in a virtually seamless sock, unlike conventionally linked socks where there is often a bulge of thread left at the seam which can be a source of great discomfort and irration when worn with tight fitting shoes.
Choose Scott-Nichol today and prepare to step into a world of both luxury and comfort!
